A young man in Trabzon met someone online who claimed to be a "sorcerer" to cast a spell on his girlfriend. The 21-year-old, who sent 500,000 TL to the person, was unable to reach them again and went to the police to file a complaint.
A person in Trabzon filed a complaint claiming to have been defrauded by a suspect he contacted through social media to have a spell cast on his girlfriend.
HE LOST 500 THOUSAND TL TO THE WITCH
B.T. (21), who lives in the Ortahisar district, agreed with a person he met through a social media application to have a spell cast on his girlfriend. B.T., who sent 495 thousand 600 lira to the person, later could not reach him and realized he had been defrauded, so he reported it to the police.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Following B.T.'s complaint, an investigation was initiated by the Trabzon Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Efforts are ongoing by the Cyber Crime Department of the Provincial Police Department to capture the suspect.
