“THE GIRL RAN OFF WHILE I WAS BUYING BAKLAVA”
Nizamettin Günan, recounting what he experienced, stated that the woman introduced herself under different names and said, “We met and talked with the woman. We gave the money and the gold. I went to the jeweler and bought two bracelets, then we set off together. On the way, she asked me, ‘Would you buy baklava?’ I said I would. While I was buying baklava, the girl ran away. First she said Ceylan, then she said she was Leyla. She lied, she deceived me.”
Stating that he got back the gold he had lost to the fraudsters, Günan said, “These were people from our village who knew our families. They struck us, and we didn't realize it. May God be pleased with our police team. They protected us and ensured we got our money back. I thank our Hatay Police Chief and the other teams.”
