The accident was captured on security camera footage, and it was reported that Özdemir had recently gotten married to her fiancé and was preparing for a wedding ceremony in a month.

The accident occurred yesterday around 5:00 PM on Mimar Sinan Street in Çiftlikköy District. A light commercial vehicle driven by Ö.E. hit Esra Özdemir as she was crossing the road. Özdemir was thrown onto the road due to the impact and was injured. Upon reports from those nearby, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

After initial intervention by the teams, Özdemir was taken to the hospital for treatment and passed away this morning. It was stated that Özdemir, who worked as a technician in the blood collection unit at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, had recently had a civil marriage with her fiancé and was preparing for a wedding in a month.
