The couple Abuzer and Zeynep Dogan from Adiyaman, who sold their house to have children and undergo IVF treatment, were blessed with twin daughters after 34 years. Father Abuzer Dogan recounted losing his father on the day his daughters were born, and during a visit to Anitkabir, his daughter cried for about an hour and told him, 'Dad, if I die, bury me here.'
Abuzer (65) and Zeynep Doğan (59), a couple from Adıyaman, struggled for years to have a child. After losing their babies twice during pregnancy, the couple received treatment many times in Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, and Kahramanmaraş.
As a last resort, the Doğan couple turned to IVF treatment and sold their house to cover the treatment costs. After years of struggle, 34 years later, their twin daughters Tekbir Gül and Havva Gül were born.
THE TWINS' BIGGEST DREAM WAS ANITKABIR
Tekbir Gül and Havva Gül, who are now 8 years old, told their teachers that their biggest dream was to visit Anıtkabir. When the family's financial means were insufficient, their teachers contacted the Sevgi Varsa Engel Yok Association.
The association took the family to Ankara and turned the children's dream into reality. Tekbir Gül and Havva Gül visited Anıtkabir with their parents.
"MY DAUGHTER CRIED FOR 1 HOUR AT ANITKABIR"
Father Abuzer Doğan described the emotional moments during the visit. Stating that one of his daughters shed tears for about an hour at Anıtkabir, Doğan recounted the moment with these words:
"My daughter cried for 1 hour at Anıtkabir. She said to me, 'Dad, if I die, bury me here.' May God be pleased with our nation. Don't fall behind doctors and medicine. Don't stray from the right path."
"I LOST MY FATHER ON THE DAY MY DAUGHTERS WERE BORN"
Doğan also recounted that on the day his twin daughters were born, he experienced both the happiest and the saddest day of his life.
Doğan, who learned that his father had passed away shortly after sharing the news of his babies' birth with him, said he cannot forget the emotional moments he experienced at the hospital.
