The bodies of the 5 people who lost their lives in a head-on collision between two cars in Ankara were brought to the Forensic Medicine Institution. It was determined that two of the deceased were professional ski athletes Mustafa Seyitoğlu and Servet Hızarcı.
A traffic accident occurred on the Northern Ring Road around 05:00 in the morning, resulting in the death of 5 people, including 1 woman, after a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction collided with an oncoming car. The identities of two of the deceased have been revealed.
THEY ENTERED THE WRONG DIRECTION AND COLLIDED HEAD-ON The accident took place on the Northern Ring Road over the Çubuk-1 Dam Bridge around 05:00 in the morning. According to the information obtained, the vehicle that entered the wrong direction collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
5 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE According to initial determinations, 5 people lost their lives in the accident. Upon the notification of nearby citizens, a large number of police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams determined that 1 person inside the vehicle involved in the accident and 1 person lying on the ground next to the vehicle had died, while it was found that 2 people in the completely burned vehicle had died inside, and 1 person outside.
THE DECEASED TURNED OUT TO BE TWO SKIERS The bodies of the deceased were brought to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy and identification after the work at the scene. It was determined that two of the deceased were professional skiers, Mustafa Seyitoğlu (24) and Servet Hızarcı (25). It was also learned that some of those who died burned in the accident, while the grieving families continue to wait in front of the Forensic Medicine Institution.
