Ömer Halis Yıldırım, a 9-year-old third-grade student at İhsan Yılmaz Primary School in Zonguldak Karadeniz Ereğli, suddenly felt unwell during class and collapsed; he lost his life in the hospital where he was taken after suffering a heart attack.
In the Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak, 9-year-old third-grade student Ömer Halis Yıldırım, who suddenly fell ill at the primary school where he was studying, died after not being saved despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken.
HE SUDDENLY COLLAPSED AT SCHOOL
The incident occurred around 13:30 at İhsan Yılmaz Primary School. Ömer Halis Yıldırım, who suddenly became ill during class, collapsed to the ground at once. Teachers immediately notified 112 Emergency Health teams for the young student, who was learned to be an epilepsy patient. Yıldırım, who received first aid from medical teams that came to the school upon the report, was transferred to a private hospital by ambulance. However, 9-year-old Ömer Halis lost his life despite all the doctors' efforts.
CAUSE OF DEATH: HEART ATTACK
In the initial examinations, it was determined that the young child died as a result of a heart attack. The Karadeniz Ereğli District Directorate of National Education also announced in its condolence message that the student's cause of death was a heart attack. In the published message, the statements "We wish Allah's mercy upon Ömer Halis Yıldırım; and we wish condolences and patience to his family, relatives, teachers, friends, and our education community" were included.
