In Tekirdağ, 64-year-old Erkan Ergene, who was reportedly homeless, was found dead on a park bench where he had lain down to sleep. Health teams arriving at the scene upon the notification of nearby citizens confirmed that the elderly man had lost his life.
A citizen in Tekirdag was found dead on a park bench where he was sleeping.
The incident occurred in the evening at a park on Saray Street in the Cemaliye Neighborhood. Erkan Ergene, 64, who was claimed to be homeless, wrapped himself in a blanket and lay down on a bench in the park.
THOSE WHO SAW HIM LYING MOTIONLESS REPORTED IT
After Ergene lay motionless on the bench for a while, nearby citizens called out to him. When they received no response from the elderly man, they suspected something was wrong and requested help from the authorities. Upon the report, police and 112 Emergency Health teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
HIS BODY WAS TAKEN TO THE MORGUE
During the initial checks by the health personnel who arrived at the scene, it was determined that Erkan Ergene had lost his life. While police teams conducted necessary examinations in the area, Ergene's lifeless body was taken to the morgue of Corlu State Hospital to determine the exact cause of death and complete legal procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
