In the Efeler district of Aydın, heavy rain that has been ongoing for two days caused the collapse of a retaining wall of a house. Four sheep trapped under the fallen wall died.
Due to the continuous rain for two days in Aydın, which at times fell as a downpour, a retaining wall of a house in the Efeler district collapsed. Four sheep trapped under the soil and rock masses died.
In the Ambarcık neighborhood of the Efeler district, the retaining wall in the garden of a house collapsed due to the softening of the ground after the heavy rain that was effective during the noon hours.
4 SHEEP TRAPPED UNDER THE COLLAPSE DIED
Four sheep belonging to İsa Çiftçi were trapped under the collapsed wall. Inspections revealed that the animals trapped under the rubble had died. Upon notification, municipal and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
While the teams took security measures in the area, an investigation was initiated due to the risk of further landslides. While the rain continued, citizens were warned to be cautious regarding risky structures in the neighborhood. The fire department and municipal teams removed the dead animals with heavy machinery.
