Two days before Eid al-Fitr, sad news came from Ankara. In an accident in Haymana, two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the deaths of six people, including two children, and three others were seriously injured. While the identities of the deceased have been revealed, it was observed that the speedometer of the car involved in the accident was stuck at 110 kilometers per hour.
A horrific accident occurred in the Çalış area on the Konya road in the Haymana district of Ankara. As a result of an improper overtaking, a Fiat Egea vehicle with the license plate 31 GE 368 collided head-on with a Fiat Linea vehicle with the license plate 06 EPP 091.

Upon citizens' notification, a large number of ambulances and traffic teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial assessments, it was learned that there were 9 people in the two vehicles and the death toll had risen to 6. 3 people were transferred to the hospital with serious injuries. It was determined that 2 of the 6 deceased were children.
NAMES OF THE DECEASED REVEALED
The names of those who lost their lives in the accident have been identified. The driver of the vehicle with the license plate 31 GE 368, Sergeant Muhammet Emin Özdemir, along with 9-month-old Duru Özdemir and Ayşe Özdemir, as well as the driver of the vehicle with the license plate 06 EPP 091, Abdullah Özgen, along with Görkem Yıldırım (6) and Arif Yıldırım, lost their lives.
SPEEDOMETER STUCK AT 110
The lifeless bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital morgue after the examination at the accident site. The treatment of the injured Yusuf Özdemir, Neriman Yıldırım, and Arif Yıldırım, who shares the same name as his grandfather who passed away, is ongoing at the hospital. It was observed that the speedometer of the vehicle driven by Sergeant Muhammet Emin Özdemir, who is stationed in Edirne, was stuck at 110 kilometers.
Relatives of the Yıldırım family, Beyazıt Selvi, stated that they learned the accident occurred due to improper overtaking.
Investigation into the accident is ongoing.
