A 5-year-old child who went outside to collect holiday sweets in Aksaray fell into an irrigation canal near their home. The child, who went missing in the water-filled canal, was found dead in a village 5 kilometers away.
Sinan Yavaş (5), who went out to collect holiday sweets in Aksaray, fell into an irrigation canal and died. The incident occurred yesterday around 4:00 PM in the village of Çimeli, which is connected to the center. It is claimed that Sinan Yavaş, who went outside to collect sweets, lost his balance and fell while passing by the irrigation canal near their home. The child, who fell into the water-filled canal, quickly disappeared due to the strong current.
THE CORPSE WAS FOUND IN A VILLAGE 5 KM AWAY
The person who saw the child fall into the canal reported the situation to the gendarmerie and health teams. Gendarmerie, health, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. A search operation was initiated in the canal. The child, found by villagers in the village of Sapmaz, 5 kilometers away, was determined to have drowned. The lifeless body of the child, retrieved from the irrigation canal by the teams, was taken to the morgue of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. After the autopsy procedures, Yavaş, who was handed over to the family, will be buried after the noon prayer to be held today at the Somuncu Baba Complex.
