Due to his physical resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein, Rıfat Özdemir from Kayseri, who has been targeted on social media and in the streets, decided to leave Kayseri and return to Ankara after experiencing psychological pressure, and to refrain from leaving his home for a while. Özdemir stated that those around him have made remarks like "Epstein didn't die, he came to Kayseri," and that this situation has caused him serious psychological distress.
Rıfat Özdemir from Kayseri, who has come to the fore due to his resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein, who has caused global outrage with his crimes of sexual abuse and human trafficking, stated that this situation has turned his life upside down. Özdemir, originally from Kayseri and living in Ankara, expressed that he experienced great discomfort due to the looks and verbal reactions he faced while walking on the street in his hometown during a visit.
"EPSTEIN DID NOT DIE, HE CAME TO KAYSERI"
According to a report by Sabah, Özdemir stated that those around him made remarks like "Epstein did not die, he came to Kayseri," and that this situation has led to a serious psychological breakdown for him. Expressing that being associated with a name known for serious crimes worldwide has deeply hurt him, Özdemir said, "We are children of Anatolia. We have no connection to such matters, whether directly or indirectly. Such people do not come from Kayseri or Anatolia," expressing his reaction.
DECIDED TO LEAVE KAYSERI
Stating that he could no longer endure the increasing social pressure, Özdemir announced his decision to leave Kayseri with a video he shared on his social media account. Indicating that he would return to his residence in Ankara, Özdemir said he would isolate himself by not leaving his home for at least a week to allow the events to calm down and the agenda to disperse.

Calling on the public through his experiences, Özdemir emphasized that the resemblance is purely coincidental. "People are created in pairs; there can be similarities. But do not judge every person you see by comparing them to someone else. Words like 'Epstein did not die, he settled in Kayseri' are very hurtful. I am not Epstein," he expressed his victimization.
