According to TÜİK's 2025 data, the province with the highest divorce rate is İzmir at 8.37%, while the province with the lowest divorce rate is Hakkari at 0.81%.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data for the end of 2025, the number of divorced individuals in Turkey reached 3 million 567 thousand 484. This figure constituted 5.20% of the adult population.

As of 2025, among the population of 68 million 561 thousand 445 individuals aged 15 and over, it was determined that 19 million 861 thousand 472 had never married, 41 million 271 thousand 735 were married, 3 million 567 thousand 484 were divorced, and 3 million 860 thousand 754 had lost their spouse.

PROVINCE WITH THE HIGHEST DIVORCE RATE: IZMIR

In the ranking of provinces where divorce is most common, Izmir ranked first. The divorced population in Izmir was 315 thousand 19, while the ratio of divorced individuals to the adult population was recorded as 8.37%. Muğla followed with 8.35%, and Antalya with 7.65%.

PROVINCE WITH THE LOWEST DIVORCE RATE: HAKKARI

The provinces with the lowest divorce rates were predominantly located in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Hakkari had the lowest divorce rate at 0.81%. Hakkari was followed by Şırnak, Muş, and Siirt.

According to TÜİK data, the provinces with the highest prevalence of divorce, following Izmir, included Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Yalova, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, Mersin, Tunceli, and Ankara.
