The Czech Disciplinary Board fined home team Slavia Prague 10 million Czech korunas and imposed a 4-match stadium closure due to incidents in the Slavia Prague-Sparta Prague derby in the Czech League Championship Group, and declared visiting Sparta the winner by a 3-0 forfeit.
Following the fan incidents in the Slavia Prague-Sparta Prague derby played in the Czech League Championship Group, the Czech Disciplinary Committee made severe decisions.
HISTORIC PENALTIES FOR BOTH TEAMS
Host Slavia Prague received a fine of 10 million Czech korunas and a 4-match stadium closure penalty due to their fans entering the field and causing incidents during the Sparta Prague derby. The Disciplinary Committee also registered the abandoned match as a 3-0 forfeit win for Sparta Prague. Sparta Prague was fined 600 thousand Czech korunas for their fans lighting flares and damaging the stadium.
TWO PLAYERS EXCLUDED FROM THE SQUAD
Slavia Prague Club announced that they respect the Disciplinary Committee's decision. Additionally, they excluded Tomas Chory and David Doudera, who received red cards in the derby, from the squad until the end of the season and stated that these two players will no longer wear the club jersey.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The match was abandoned in the final minutes when Slavia Prague was leading 3-2, as hundreds of fans stormed the field. The home fans caused incidents by throwing flares at the away section.
