Before the downpour that took effect in Istanbul around noon, dense dark clouds covering the sky descended on the city almost like a nightmare. Following the warnings of the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather suddenly darkened and day turned to night, while extraordinary images over the Historic Peninsula and the Bosphorus were recorded from the air.
THE CITY'S SILHOUETTE WAS COVERED BY DARK CLOUDS
Massive cloud masses descending over the city almost completely covered the city's iconic silhouette. This natural phenomenon, clearly visible from different points of the city and offering a visual feast, was recorded second by second with drone cameras.
THE DOWNPOUR BEGAN
Across Istanbul, which was plunged into darkness in broad daylight, the heavy downpour made its effect felt in the city within a short time immediately after the passage of dense dark clouds.
