İhsan Aktaş, the Chairman of GENAR, who was a guest on Haberler.com, shared the research studies they have conducted since the beginning of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. Aktaş expressed his belief that public support would rise to around 70-80%, and noted that this rate is nearly 99% among Kurdish voters. He also shared the voting rates of alliances and parties.
The terrorist organization PKK has decided to disband and lay down its arms. While this development has become the number one agenda in politics, how the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process reflects on the streets has also become a matter of curiosity.
GENAR CHAIRMAN AKTAŞ SHARED HIS WORKS REGARDING THE PROCESS
İhsan Aktaş, the Chairman of the public opinion research company GENAR, which was a guest on Haberler.com, shared the research studies they have conducted since the beginning of the process.
"I BELIEVE SUPPORT WILL RISE TO 70-80%"
Stating that the public initially approached the process with caution, Aktaş said, "In a study we conducted with 5,000 samples, there was a cautious process with around 50% support for the DEM Party, MHP, and other parties supported by the AK Party. After Abdullah Öcalan made his statement, during periods when signals came from Kandil, this fluctuated upwards by about 10 points. As the public saw the process, they became more positive. Looking at today, I believe this public support will rise to 70-80%."
"SUPPORT RATE AMONG KURDISH VOTERS IS NEARLY 99%"
Aktaş stated that the support rate for the process among Kurdish voters is nearly 99%. He said, "After seeing this data, I said, 'No one can easily give up on the process after seeing this 99% support.' I have a belief that the general trend will not be disrupted."
HE ALSO REVEALED THE VOTE RATES OF ALLIANCES AND PARTIES
İhsan Aktaş also shared the vote rates obtained by alliances and parties as a result of their studies. Aktaş stated: "The PKK's disbandment will weaken the Republican People's Party. In our research, the total vote of the People's Alliance is 45%. The AK Party is at 35.8%, and the Nationalist Movement Party is at 9%. The vote rate of the Republican People's Party is around 33-34%. It had an ally like the DEM Party. The 'Terror-Free Turkey' process will also make the DEM Party more independent. The independence of the DEM Party raises the possibility of distancing itself from a party that is, in a way, a solid ally for the CHP. It seems like the CHP will remain around the 30% band."
"CHP CANNOT HOLD ONTO THE VOTES IT HAS GAINED"
Aktaş also claimed that the CHP has failed during the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process, stating, "Before İmamoğlu's detention, the CHP was around 31.5%, and the AK Party was at 34.5%. In the research conducted in April, the CHP rose to 35.6%, while the AK Party reached 35.8%. The CHP cannot hold onto these votes it has gained. Probably, when we conduct research again in 1-2 months, it will return to the 30s."
