The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that more than 50,000 soldiers have been involved in attacks against Iran, utilizing 200 fighter jets and 2 aircraft carriers.
CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated in a video shared on the U.S.-based X company's social media platform that operations involving more than 50,000 soldiers included the participation of 200 fighter jets and 2 aircraft carriers, expressing that this represents "the largest military buildup seen in the Middle East in a generation."
"IRAN'S AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS HAVE WEAKENED"
Cooper reported that U.S. and Israeli forces have struck approximately 2,000 targets in Iran since February 28, noting that they have "significantly weakened" Iran's air defense systems.
U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
In response, Iran attacked targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the U.S.-Israel attacks, numerous high-ranking officials, including Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were killed.
The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 787 people lost their lives in the U.S.-Israel attacks.
