HE CALLED HER UNDER THE PRETEXT OF SEEING THEIR CHILD, THEN FIRED REPEATEDLY
The incident occurred last evening in front of a park on İstasyon Boulevard in Şehitlik Neighborhood. Sultan Akdemir, who had been living apart from her estranged husband Ersan Akdemir for about 2 months due to domestic violence, went to the meeting point after he called her under the pretext of seeing their child. Ersan Akdemir wanted to take the child from Sultan Akdemir and leave. This led to an argument between the couple. At that moment, Ersan Akdemir drew the gun he had brought with him and fired repeatedly at Sultan Akdemir.
HE FLED TAKING THE CHILD WITH HIM
As the woman collapsed from the gunshot wounds, the attacker fled the area, taking his child with him. Upon reports from bystanders, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Injured Sultan Akdemir was taken to Dicle University Hospital after initial treatment. Sultan Akdemir, who was receiving treatment, could not be saved. After autopsy procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institute, Sultan Akdemir's body was buried.

Meanwhile, the incident was captured on the security camera of a nearby business. In the footage, moments are seen where Ersan Akdemir draws the gun while Sultan Akdemir tries to grab her husband's hand, a brief scuffle occurs between the couple, and after Sultan Akdemir falls to the ground, Ersan Akdemir flees taking his child with him.
SENT TO PRISON
Ersan Akdemir, caught as a result of police work, had his procedures at the police station completed. Ersan Akdemir, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested on charges of 'Intentional murder' by the duty magistrate and sent to prison.
