Visa exemption for Syrian diplomatic passport holders published in the Official Gazette

Visa exemption has been introduced in Türkiye for citizens holding diplomatic passports of the Syrian Arab Republic. With the decision published under the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the visa requirement has been lifted for diplomatic passport holders in their official assignments, touristic travels, and transit passages.

The Presidential Decree regarding citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic holding diplomatic passports has been published in the Official Gazette.

VISA EXEMPTION WILL BE PROVIDED

According to the decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; it was decided to provide visa exemption for citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic holding diplomatic passports during their duty assignments in Türkiye, for their tourist trips with a maximum stay of 90 days within every 180 days, and for their transit passages.

The decision was issued pursuant to Article 18 of Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection.
