In the incident that occurred on 705th Street in Diliskelesi Neighborhood, an argument that started at home between Erdal K. and his wife Elif K. spilled into the street. As the argument escalated, Erdal K. repeatedly stabbed his wife Elif K. in various parts of her body. While Elif K. collapsed in a pool of blood, her husband Erdal K. continued to wait beside her.

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, neighbors attempted to lynch Erdal K. Police teams had a difficult time keeping citizens away. One police officer drew his gun and fired warning shots into the air.
SHE LOST HER LIFE
Elif K., who was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated, could not be saved despite all interventions. Erdal K. was taken into custody.

It was learned that the suspect claimed in his statements that he was cheated on and had a fit of madness. It was reported that Erdal K., who killed his wife with 15 stab wounds, said in his statement that he wanted to harm his wife much more severely by taking his action further, but he stopped his action when he made eye contact with his 5-year-old child at that moment.
It was learned that the couple had five children, the youngest being 5 and the others ranging between 18 and 25 years old, and that one of the children was in prison for a different crime.
HER FUNERAL WAS LAID TO REST IN ERZURUM
It was reported that the body of the murdered mother of five, Elif K., was taken by her family after procedures and brought to Erzurum, where she was laid to rest following a funeral prayer.
