The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) announced that it will provide free public transportation services to personalized Istanbulkart holders starting from January 1st. Additionally, extra services, security measures, and emergency preparations have been implemented for New Year's Eve and the first day of the new year.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) announced that on January 1st, public transportation vehicles under its management will be free for personalized Istanbulkart holders as part of the New Year celebrations.

METRO LINES WILL OPERATE 24 HOURS

According to the statement made by IMM, measures have been taken to ensure that Istanbul residents have a comfortable and safe experience on New Year's Eve and the first day of the new year, including transportation, security, and potential emergency situations. IETT will operate 304 additional services on 25 lines on the night of December 31, while 221 additional services are planned for the metrobüs. It is planned that a large portion of the metro lines will operate 24 hours, and tram and funicular lines will work until 02:00 on January 1st. It is also expected that the City Lines will arrange additional services depending on the density.

FREE SERVICE FOR ISTANBULKART HOLDERS

On January 1st, public transportation vehicles will provide free service to personalized Istanbulkart holders as part of the official holiday. IMM's "ALO 153 Solution Center" will be available for calls throughout New Year's Eve.
