Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who announced the airing of the "Teke Tek Bilim" program, highlighted his last meetings with Ortaylı in a statement on his social media account. Altaylı said, "My dear and valued İlber Ortaylı insisted that we should do a program as soon as I got out of prison. This was the last program recorded with this dear friend of mine. I couldn't watch because I was crying. My only consolation is that as long as these broadcasts continue, he will live on," he expressed.
