Recently, footage allegedly belonging to one of the parties organized by Kasım Garipoğlu, who has an arrest warrant issued against him and is currently in hiding, has come to light. The footage obtained by journalist Emrullah Erdinç features not only Garipoğlu but also other suspects who have arrest warrants issued against them and have been identified as being abroad, including Şevval Şahin, Burak Ateş, and Gökmen Kadir Şenova. Furthermore, it has been suggested that the person who recorded the footage is Ayşegül Şenova, the wife of Gökmen Kadir Şenova.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an arrest warrant was issued for Kasım Garipoğlu on charges of "providing narcotic substances," "facilitating use," and "using" narcotics, and all of his assets were seized.
In searches conducted at Garipoğlu's residence, who has been identified as being abroad and is still in hiding, three unlicensed handguns, 111 narcotic pills, four pieces of crystal-like narcotic substances, numerous devices used for consuming narcotics, a narcotic grinder, a bundle containing empty papers with 100-dollar bills on top and bottom, and 19 pieces of fake dollars with cut middle sections were seized.
As part of the investigation, arrest warrants were also issued for Fatih Garipoğlu, Burak Ateş, Ayşegül Şeynova, Gökmen Kadir Şeynova, Mert Vidinli, and Ezgi Fındık, while a decision was made to arrest Kasım Garipoğlu's driver, Ahmet Akçay.
Taking advantage of the effective remorse provisions, Akçay, who became a whistleblower, stated in his testimony at the prosecutor's office that Garipoğlu held parties every 15 days or once a month, and that names such as Kasım Garipoğlu's brother Fatih Garipoğlu, Burak Ateş, Şeyma Subaşı, Şevval Şahin, Derin Talu, and Defne Samyeli attended these parties. Akçay also claimed that narcotics were used at the parties.
Another individual arrested as part of the investigation, Zohaer Majhadi, the director of the Les Benjamin's brand, also claimed that drug parties were held approximately every 15 days at Garipoğlu's mansion by the Bosphorus.
