THE CANDIDATE WILL BE DETERMINED BY PARTY MEMBERS
While discussions continue about who will be the CHP's candidate, the party's chairman Özgür Özel, speaking at his party's group meeting, said, "We held a series of meetings in Istanbul. We talked with President Ekrem and President Mansur. We are now in agreement for a new era. I thank the two names I mentioned earlier for saying, 'If my party wants, if given a task.' We are now making a new call. The candidate will not be determined by me, but by all of us, all CHP members. Everyone who registers with the party will determine the candidate," thus passing the ball to the party members.
