Ahmet Türk stated regarding the trustee decision that this process meant putting a mortgage on the will of the people. Türk said, "We see that the policy of intimidation continues. We have fought for a dignified peace and the establishment of a democratic republic in this country until today. However, we see that a pressure policy is being carried out to mortgage the will of the people and to intimidate Kurdish politics."
