A traffic fight between a motorcyclist and a commercial taxi driver in Antalya Gazipaşa was captured on camera. The elderly man was seen falling to the ground after being punched by the taxi driver. The taxi driver's license was permanently revoked, his vehicle was impounded for 2 months, and a fine of 180,000 TL was imposed.

ARGUMENT TURNS INTO FISTFIGHT

The incident occurred on Uğur Mumcu Street in Pazarcı Neighborhood of Gazipaşa district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between the motorcycle driver and the commercial taxi driver for an unknown reason. The argument quickly escalated into a fistfight.

ELDERLY MAN FALLS TO THE GROUND

While citizens in the vicinity tried to break up the fight, the events were recorded second by second on a citizen's mobile phone camera. In the footage, the parties are seen throwing punches at each other, and after a while, the elderly man falls to the ground as a result of the blow he received.

TAXI DRIVER FACES PENALTIES

Following the incident, legal action was taken against the commercial taxi driver, who was taken into custody, under Article 46/4 of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918. The driver, who was determined to have committed the same violation before, had his license permanently revoked, while the commercial taxi was banned from traffic for 2 months. The driver was also imposed an administrative fine of 180,000 TL.

The investigation into the incident continues.
