54-year-old İrfan Bozan, living in Bilecik, was relieved of a 542-gram giant thyroid mass that he had been carrying in his neck for years and for which surgery was refused due to being deemed "risky," allowing him to breathe comfortably again.

COULD NOT HAVE SURGERY, BEGAN EXPERIENCING SHORTNESS OF BREATH

According to a written statement from the Provincial Health Directorate, İrfan Bozan, who had been living with a mass in his neck for many years and also had diabetes and lung disease, had previously applied to various healthcare institutions to have the mass removed.

Because the operation was considered risky, Bozan began to experience shortness of breath due to the growing mass, and eventually applied to Bilecik Training and Research Hospital.

OPERATION LASTING 2.5 HOURS

There, Bozan was operated on by General Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. Doğuşcan Kurular, and the 542-gram thyroid mass in his neck was removed in a 2.5-hour operation.

Bozan was discharged after his treatment.
