In the Genç district of Bingöl, a citizen having a picnic by the Murat River became stranded on an islet in the middle of the river after water levels rose rapidly due to the opening of dam gates. Upon notification, AFAD teams dispatched to the area successfully rescued the citizen to a safe zone.

The incident occurred on the banks of the Murat River. According to information obtained, the water level rose quickly when the dam gates were opened while the individual was having a picnic. People nearby who noticed the citizen stranded on the islet in the river reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the notification, AFAD search and rescue teams arrived at the scene swiftly.
