The Deputy Chief of Enforcement and the enforcement clerk working at the İzmir Regional Court of Appeals were caught red-handed while receiving a bribe from a lawyer. The suspects who were taken into custody were brought to the police station.

To expedite the official collection deposited in the İzmir Courthouse Enforcement Directorate file, Deputy Enforcement Director Y.D. and enforcement clerk B.B. (26) requested a bribe of 200,000 TL from lawyer D.Ç. After lawyer D.Ç. reported the situation, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action. The lawyer, who claimed to have been asked for a bribe, told them that he would give the requested 200,000 TL to catch the suspects.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT

Lawyer D.Ç. met with the suspects, Deputy Enforcement Director Y.D., at a café last night. While D.Ç. was handing over the marked money to Y.D., police teams who had been monitoring the situation moved in and caught suspect Y.D. in the act. As part of the operations, clerk B.B. was also caught and detained shortly after at his home.

The processing of the suspects taken to the police station is ongoing.
