In Malatya, housewife Çiğdem Kanbay and her daughter Sude Kanbay, who is preparing for the university exam, took the 2026 KPSS Secondary Education session at the same school but in different halls. Surprised to see when they looked at their exam entry documents that they had been assigned to the same school, the mother and daughter said they would do their best. Sude Kanbay, who said she helped her mother during the preparation process, stated that she was happy her mother did not give up.
Çiğdem Kanbay, who lives in Malatya, and her daughter Sude Kanbay, who is preparing for the university entrance exam, took the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) Secondary Education session at the same school.
In the city, candidates headed to exam centers from the early morning hours for the 2026-KPSS Secondary Education session. Candidates Çiğdem Kanbay and her daughter Sude Kanbay took the exam in different halls at Şehit Kemal Özalper Middle School, where they arrived together.
THEY WERE SURPRISED WHEN THEY LOOKED AT THE EXAM DOCUMENT
Housewife Çiğdem Kanbay, who said she was very happy when she checked her exam entry documents, said, "At first I was very surprised. When I looked at the exam papers, I saw that both of us would take the exam at the same school. I was very glad that our exam locations were not different places by chance. My daughter is going through a very intense process. She will also take the university exam this year. Despite this, she helped me prepare for the exam during her preparation process. Of course, I cannot compete with young rivals, but I will do something as much as I can. Now we will sweat over the same questions in separate desks, and we will do our best."
MY MOTHER'S NOT GIVING UP MADE ME VERY HAPPY
Sude Kanbay, who stated that she was proud of her mother's perseverance, said, "We are taking the exam at this school together with my mother today. I was also very surprised when I first heard it, but I am very happy that my mother is taking the exam at the same school as me. I hope she achieves good things together with me. For my part, since I am preparing for the university exam, I could not prepare very intensively for the KPSS. But I will still do my best. Although I was very busy during this process, I tried to support my mother in her exam preparation as much as I could. My mother taking this exam at this age and not giving up made me very happy. I am very excited for her. I hope both of our exams go very well."
The mother and daughter, who wished each other success, then entered the building to take their places in the exam halls.
