A person who argued with his brother in Nevşehir allegedly chased his brother with a knife. After his brother went to the police station to file a complaint, he set the house they lived in on fire.
SET THE HOUSE ON FIRE
The incident occurred on the ground floor of an apartment building on Kırçiçeği Street in 350 Evler Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Osman Kolca, who lived in the same house, and his brother for an unknown reason. Allegedly, the brother, who was claimed to be under the influence of drugs, started chasing his older brother with a knife as the argument escalated. Osman Kolca, who escaped from his brother, went to the police station to file a complaint. While Kolca was giving his statement at the police station, he was called by his brother and informed that he had set the house on fire.
FIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL
Upon the report, Osman Kolca, who arrived at the scene with police teams, found his house engulfed in flames. Fire, health, police, electricity, and natural gas teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by the intervention of firefighting teams. Police teams took extensive security measures in the area.
Upon Osman Kolca's report that his brother and some money were in the house during the fire, firefighting teams first checked whether anyone was in the house. The inspection determined that no one was in the house, and it was assessed that the money in the house might have been damaged by the fire.
"I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT MY BROTHER"
Describing what he experienced, Osman Kolca said, "I was at home with my brother. When I came home, he had used drugs. He started chasing me with a knife. I went to the police station to save my life. While I was giving my statement, he called me and said he had burned the house. When I arrived with the police teams, I saw my house burning. I had approximately 600 thousand lira in the house. I am complaining about my brother."
Police teams have launched an operation to capture the suspect, and the investigation into the incident continues.
