The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the statistics of motor vehicles for the month of October. Accordingly, the number of vehicles registered for traffic in October increased by 13.3% compared to the same month last year, reaching 209,401.
During the same period, the number of vehicles deregistered from traffic increased by 49% to 3,844. Thus, the number of vehicles in traffic recorded an increase of 205,557 in October.
In the previous month, 50.9% of the vehicles registered for traffic were motorcycles, 35.6% were cars, 8.2% were light trucks, 2.8% were tractors, 1.4% were trucks, 0.7% were minibuses, 0.3% were buses, and 0.1% were special purpose vehicles. NUMBER OF CARS INCREASEDIn October, the number of vehicles registered for traffic increased by 19.1% for cars, 6.3% for special purpose vehicles, 1.6% for light trucks, and 0.3% for buses, while it decreased by 18.4% for minibuses, 14.5% for trucks, 11.7% for motorcycles, and 5.6% for tractors compared to the previous month. When looking at the annual changes in the number of vehicles registered for traffic in October, there was an increase of 31% for motorcycles, 20.9% for minibuses, 19.6% for buses, and 10% for light trucks, while there was a decrease of 18.3% for special purpose vehicles, 16.9% for trucks, 15.5% for tractors, and 1.1% for cars. NUMBER OF REGISTERED VEHICLES REACHED 30.9 MILLIONThe number of registered vehicles increased by 8.87% in October compared to the same month last year, rising from 28 million 365 thousand 819 to 30 million 883 thousand 668.
As of the end of October, 51.9% of the registered vehicles were cars, 19.8% were motorcycles, 15.1% were light trucks, 7.3% were tractors, 3.2% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.7% were buses, and 0.3% were special purpose vehicles. TRANSFERRED VEHICLESIn the mentioned month, 1 million 6 thousand 9 vehicles were transferred, of which 67.7% were cars, 15% were light trucks, 10% were motorcycles, 3% were tractors, 1.9% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.5% were buses, and 0.2% were special purpose vehicles. In October, 74 thousand 636 cars were registered for traffic. Of the cars registered for traffic, 11.6% were Renault, 10.5% were Volkswagen, 8% were Hyundai, 7.7% were Fiat, 5.4% were Toyota, 4.6% were Skoda, 4.5% were Peugeot, 4.4% were Nissan, 4.4% were Opel, 3.7% were Mercedes-Benz, 3.4% were Citroen, 3.2% were BMW, 3.1% were Audi, 2.8% were Dacia, 2.8% were Ford, 2.4% were Honda, 2.3% were Kia, 2% were Chery, 1.2% were Seat, 1.2% were MG, and 10.8% were other brands. JANUARY-OCTOBER PERIODIn the January-October period, the number of vehicles registered for traffic increased by 13.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching 2 million 170 thousand 857, while the number of vehicles deregistered from traffic increased by 6.9% to 26 thousand 806. Thus, there was an increase of 2 million 144 thousand 51 in the total number of vehicles in traffic during the January-October period. During this period, it was determined that 62.6% of the 821 thousand 231 cars registered for traffic were gasoline, 15.2% were hybrid, 12.1% were diesel, 9% were electric, and 1.1% were LPG fuelled. As of the end of October, it was found that 16 million 38 thousand 61 cars registered for traffic had 34.4% diesel, 32.2% LPG, 30.1% gasoline, 2.2% hybrid, and 1% electric. The fuel type of 0.2% of the cars is unknown. In the January-October period, it was observed that 32.8% of the registered cars had an engine capacity of 1300 and below, 22.3% had 1401-1500, 16.2% had 1301-1400, 12.7% had 1501-1600, 6.3% had 1601-2000, and 0.7% had 2001 and above. During this period, it was determined that 38.6% of the registered cars were gray, 26% were white, 13% were black, 11.1% were blue, 5.9% were red, 2.9% were green, 0.8% were orange, 0.8% were yellow, 0.5% were brown, and 0.4% were other colors.
