OBJECTIVE: TO PREVENT ANY POSSIBLE NEGATIVE SITUATIONS

In a statement from the governorship, the following was stated: "Within the administrative borders of Şırnak province; in order to ensure national security, maintain public order and safety, prevent crime, protect fundamental rights and freedoms as well as the rights and freedoms of others and general public order, prevent incidents of violence, and to prevent any possible negative situations, based on the 11th article (c) of the Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration and the 32/A article of the Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones; the Şırnak Governorship has declared the Giresumunu Mountain, Eksikdağ, and Meydandağı regions, which are evaluated to be accessible to citizens, as 'Temporary Special Security Zones' for a period of 9 days from July 8, 2025 (inclusive) to July 16, 2025 (inclusive), in order to prevent citizens from being harmed by illegal elements in these regions and the measures to be taken against them. Our citizens are informed that during these dates, they can enter the declared areas by obtaining permission from the authorized authorities under the Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones, otherwise, legal action will be taken in accordance with the 66th article of the Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration. This is respectfully announced to the public."
