According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the Damlaca neighborhood during the afternoon hours. Residents noticed the stork trapped on the dome of the İstasyon mosque, about to faint from the heat. Citizens and the neighborhood head reported the situation to the Şarkışla Municipality Fire Brigade teams.

REVIVED BY BEING SPRINKLED WITH WATER

The teams arrived at the scene quickly, reached the mosque dome using the fire truck ladder, and rescued the stork, which was on the verge of dying from the heat. With the help of the teams and citizens, the stork was sprinkled with water and regained consciousness after a while. The stork was then handed over to the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.

Ahmet Turan Gürlevik, the neighborhood head, who stated that they rescued the stork from the mosque dome, said, 'We saw the stork trapped on the dome of our mosque. We called the 112 emergency teams, and they directed the fire brigade. We brought the stork down from where it was trapped. We will hand the stork over to the Nature Conservation and National Parks teams.'
