The motion submitted by the AK Party concerning Article 3 of the funding proposal was accepted at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. With the amendment, blocked transactions were also included within the scope of liquidation.
With the new motion accepted at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, a critical step was taken for citizens experiencing uncertainty in the liquidation process of investment funds. With the amendment made to the AK Party’s fund proposal, investors whose money or transaction remained suspended because their swap could not be completed were officially included in the liquidation scope.
THEY ARE INCLUDED IN THE LIQUIDATION PROCESS
Under the new regulation, instructions submitted through the Turkey Electronic Fund Distribution Platform (TEFAS) but that could not be completed because the fund defaulted or was unable to announce a price are placed under protection. People whose orders were not executed because the process was interrupted will be able to claim rights from the liquidation desk as "fund unit holders."
