Orhan Yıldırım, the owner of Han Construction, who was subject to a detention order in the investigation into İBB subsidiary Ağaç ve Peyzaj AŞ, was taken into custody upon his return to Turkey.
A new development occurred in the operation against the municipality subsidiary Ağaç ve Peyzaj AŞ within the scope of the "corruption" investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). Orhan Yıldırım, the owner of Han İnşaat, who had a detention order against him as part of the investigation, was taken into custody upon his return to Turkey. The suspect was taken to the police station for processing.
A TOTAL OF 30 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Within the scope of the 'corruption' investigations into IBB, an operation was carried out on allegations that a fraudulent tender system was established through the subsidiary company Ağaç ve Peyzaj A.Ş., rigging the tenders. In the operation, 29 suspects were detained.
Within the scope of the 'corruption' investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, a detention decision was made for 30 suspects in today's operation regarding the allegations that a fraudulent tender system was operated illegally through the subsidiary company Ağaç ve Peyzaj A.Ş., rigging the tenders.
In the operation, 29 people were detained, including ITU Lecturer Yasin Çağatay Seçkin, IBB Architect Esra Köymen, IBB Engineer Tolga Kılıç, IBB Urban Ecological Systems Branch Manager Nilgün Cendek, IBB Engineer Mustafa Atlı, ITU Lecturer Tuğba Ölmez Hancı, IBB Engineer Sezer Ada Ateş, former Ağaç AŞ Deputy General Manager Muammer Ali Özdil, Ağaç AŞ Chief Fatih Temür, Ağaç AŞ Deputy General Manager Aytekin Karaarslan, Ağaç AŞ Deputy General Manager Metin Aras, Ağaç AŞ Chief Murat Cirik, IBB Head of Urban History Promotion and Tourism Department Oktay Özel, Ağaç AŞ Chief Fatih Yağcı, IBB Legal Advisor Eren Sönmez, and Ağaç AŞ Purchasing Manager Selim Marangoz.
With Orhan Yıldırım, the number of suspects detained in the operation rose to 30.
JUDICIAL CONTROL CONDITION FOR 5 SUSPECTS
Seven of the suspects detained in the operation were referred to the courthouse after police procedures. A.C. was released after prosecutor procedures. Among the suspects brought before the judge, judicial control decisions along with a travel ban abroad were given for IBB Head of Urban History Promotion and Tourism Department Oktay Özel, Cezayir Aday, Ahmet Kocadağ, Ünal Aksoy, and Hakan Cullanmak, while house arrest was imposed on Murat Cırık. It was learned that procedures are ongoing for 22 suspects detained in the operation.
