The suspect, Mehmet Garip, who shot and killed his sister-in-law and two nephews due to an inheritance dispute in Tekirdağ, confessed in his statement that he had also planned to kill his sons-in-law who live on the lower floor. In the Fevzipaşa neighborhood of Çerkezköy district in Tekirdağ, a dispute among relatives over inheritance ended in a massacre in a five-story building owned by a family. Yesterday, Mehmet Garip (48), who was retired from a factory and single, went to the apartment of his brother Zülküf Garip, who was at work, and argued with his sister-in-law Melike Garip (50) and his nephew Ferdi Garip (27).

With the arrival of the nephew, Mehmet Garip fired his gun at the three people.

It was noted that Garip had a gun silencer found during the search of his home, but he did not use the silencer in the incident. It was revealed that Mehmet Garip fired at his son-in-law Buğra Tunalı while trying to kill his three relatives, but did not hit him. Garip explained that there were financial issues with his family, stating, "A dispute arose due to their rightful demands. They victimized me. I couldn't control my nerves with the gun I took," and it was learned that he was arrested by the court.
