In the Karatay district of Konya, a gunfight broke out between two groups due to a 'side glance,' resulting in the death of 5-year-old Yıldırım Kaçın and injuries to two others. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
In Konya, during a gunfight that broke out between two groups over a 'side glance', Yıldırım Kaçın (5), who was on the street at the time and was injured in the neck, died, while Nedim Kaçın (19) and Ali Tural (18) were injured.
The incident occurred around 8:00 PM in the Baba Sultan Street of Şemsi Tebrizi Neighborhood in the central Karatay district. According to claims, a dispute over 'side glancing' erupted between three people who arrived in a taxi and Nedim Kaçın and Ali Turan.
THEY OPENED FIRE WITH A PISTOL
As the argument escalated into a fight, two individuals from the opposing group opened fire with a pistol. As a result of the gunfire, Ali Turan was shot in the leg, Nedim Kaçın in the abdomen, and his relative Yıldırım Kaçın, who was on the street at the time, was shot in the neck.
DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS, HE COULD NOT BE SAVED
The three attackers fled in the taxi they arrived in. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The three injured individuals were taken to Konya Numune Hospital by ambulances. Despite all medical interventions, Yıldırım Kaçın, who was treated, lost his life. Nedim Kaçın, who was in critical condition, was transferred to Meram Medical Faculty after the initial intervention.

In his first statement, Ali Turan, who is in good health, stated that a fight broke out with the attackers over the issue of 'side glancing'. The police have initiated an investigation to identify the attackers who fled in the taxi.
