Technical Director Mehmet Topal has started evaluating offers from various European leagues. The young coach has received offers from Romanian teams as well as from the Belgian Pro League and Macedonia.
After two seasons coaching Romanian Super League team Petrolul Ploiești in different periods, Head Coach Mehmet Topal is receiving offers from various European leagues following his successful performance here.
OFFERS POUR IN FOR MEHMET TOPAL
Most recently taking charge during the relegation play-offs and successfully keeping Petrolul in the league, Mehmet Topal has not yet made a decision for the upcoming season. Topal had previously managed to lead the team to the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. Receiving offers from different teams in Romania, the Belgian League, and the Macedonian League, the young coach will make his decision after the FIFA World Cup. Petrolul Ploiești is also making significant efforts to keep Mehmet Topal at the club.
''AN UNBREAKABLE BOND''
In a recent statement to the Romanian press, Mehmet Topal said, "Petrolul is where I started my coaching career. I have developed an unbreakable bond with Petrolul. I stood by them during difficult times and kept them in the league. The Romanian League is a league I now know well." The 40-year-old coach has also completed his UEFA Pro License education and obtained the license.
WILL FOLLOW THE WORLD CUP
Mehmet Topal, who played for teams such as Galatasaray, Valencia, Fenerbahçe, Başakşehir, and Beşiktaş during his playing career, will follow the 2026 FIFA World Cup on-site to gain insights. Topal will make his decision about the future after the World Cup.
PETROLUL PERFORMANCE
Mehmet Topal, who took charge at Petrolul Ploiești in different periods, has played 38 matches, achieving 13 wins, 16 draws, and 9 losses.
