The behavior of the police officer who carried the elderly woman, who had difficulty walking, on his back warmed hearts. ELDERLY WOMAN WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE WENT MISSING IN A RURAL AREA
82-year-old Aunt Nazmiye, an Alzheimer's patient living in the Meram district of Konya, went missing in a rural area. Police teams, who took action to find the elderly woman, launched a search operation in the region. Technological resources were also used in the efforts carried out across the vast rural area. Police teams identified the area where the elderly woman was located by using the Gökmen drone system. Following the search efforts, Aunt Nazmiye was reached.
POLICE OFFICER CARRIED THE ELDERLY WOMAN ON HIS BACK
After the search efforts, the teams that reached the elderly woman saw that Aunt Nazmiye had difficulty walking. Thereupon, one of the police officers took the 82-year-old woman on his back and carried her. The police officer on duty helped remove the elderly woman safely from where she was located. With the finding of Alzheimer's patient Aunt Nazmiye, the search efforts concluded positively. The moments when the police officer helped the elderly woman formed the most striking images of the incident.

Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced the details of the incident in Konya in a statement. Minister Çiftçi described the search efforts carried out by police teams and the behavior of the police officer who carried the elderly woman on his back with the following words:
"Our 82-year-old Aunt Nazmiye, who went missing in a rural area in the Meram district of my hometown Konya, was found as a result of the meticulous search efforts carried out by our police teams using the Gökmen drone system. Our police brother, who carried our Alzheimer's patient Aunt Nazmiye, who had difficulty walking, on his back, touched the hearts of our nation with the sacrifice he showed. That is our police.
