The urology clinic assistant doctors working at Antalya Training and Research Hospital filed a complaint with the hospital's chief physician and the Interuniversity Council against Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.T.Ö. for allegations of mobbing, psychological violence, and abuse of power. The assistants claimed that Assoc. Prof. Dr. engaged in behaviors including insults, threats, pressure, obstruction of the right to education, physical contact, and harassment.

In the complaint petitions prepared by the assistant doctors working in the Urology clinic of Antalya Training and Research Hospital, it was claimed that Associate Professor Dr. M.T.Ö., who is also a faculty member in the clinic, engaged in behaviors including insults, threats, pressure, obstruction of the right to education, physical contact, and harassment towards them. In the statements of the assistant doctors, it was alleged that loud reprimands, humiliating expressions, threatening remarks, and behaviors leading to physical contact occurred during service visits, operating rooms, council meetings, and areas within the clinic. Some petitions included allegations that the specialty training was used as a means of pressure and that the right to education was effectively obstructed.

DEGRADING AND PROFESSIONAL HONOR-DESTROYING EXPRESSIONS

According to the allegations in the complaint petitions submitted to the hospital's chief physician and the Interuniversity Council, some assistant doctors stated that they were subjected to physical contact against their will and encountered degrading and professional honor-destroying expressions. It was expressed that some of the incidents occurred in environments where other healthcare workers and patients were present.

MINISTRY ASSIGNED AN INSPECTOR

The petitions also included allegations such as not being present at the workplace during working hours, having personal tasks done by assistants, and workload outside of job descriptions. Following the complaints, the Ministry of Health assigned an inspector and initiated an administrative investigation. It was learned that no response had yet been received from the Interuniversity Council.
