In a nursery affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, one suspect was arrested and judicial control measures were applied to three suspects as part of the investigation into allegations of assault and abuse against a child.
In Istanbul, one suspect was arrested in the investigation launched regarding allegations of violence and abuse against a child at a nursery affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
A family in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul, filed a complaint claiming that their 3-year-old child was subjected to violence and abuse at the 'Yuvamız İstanbul' nursery, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).
ALLEGATION OF VIOLENCE AND ABUSE
According to the allegation, a family with two children residing in the Güzeltepe neighborhood of Eyüpsultan sent their 3-year-old child U.B. to the 'Yuvamız İstanbul' nursery, which is located in the same neighborhood and owned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The family rushed to the nursery after noticing bruises on their 3-year-old child when he returned home from the nursery last December.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FROM THE FAMILY
Considering that their child may have been abused, the family wanted to speak with the authorities at the nursery and requested the camera footage from the nursery. In response to the family's request, the nursery management initially did not provide the camera footage to the family and denied the allegations made against them. Following this, the family went to the police station and filed a complaint against the staff at the nursery.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
In a statement made by the Istanbul Governorship regarding the issue, it was stated, "Various media outlets have reported and published news regarding allegations of assault and abuse against children at the nursery operating in our Eyüpsultan District, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. An investigation has been initiated by our Governorship regarding the matter, and administrative and judicial processes are being followed."
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED
In the investigation conducted regarding the allegations of assault and abuse against a child at the nursery affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, one suspect was arrested. Judicial control measures were applied to 3 other suspects.
