The Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office provided information regarding the investigation into the collapse of the Taşoluk Apartment. The prosecutor's office announced that the detention periods of the four individuals who were taken into custody have been extended.
The Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the incident regarding the collapse of the Taşoluk Apartment is being investigated in all its aspects. In a written statement from the prosecutor's office, it was noted that a detailed investigation was conducted after the search and rescue operations at the scene were completed.
It was reported in the statement that the investigation is being carried out by public prosecutors assigned by Konya Chief Public Prosecutor Halil İnal, stating, "A detailed examination was conducted by a team of expert witnesses specialized in architecture, geology, construction, and high electrical engineering, to determine the cause of the building's collapse. Samples were taken by the experts. A report will be prepared by the expert team based on the laboratory examination of the collected samples and will be submitted to the investigation file."
DETENTION PERIODS EXTENDED
Additionally, it was announced that the detention periods of the suspects taken into custody in connection with the incident have been extended. The statement included, "The detention periods of the suspects in custody have been extended for the purpose of collecting relevant evidence. The incident is being meticulously examined in all its aspects."
WHAT HAPPENED?
A four-story building consisting of 7 shops and 14 apartments collapsed in the central Selçuklu district of Konya, resulting in the death of 2 individuals in the building. As part of the investigation initiated regarding the incident, 4 people had also been taken into custody.
