Israel, which broke the ceasefire from the first day, launched one of the largest airstrikes on Lebanon in recent times, while Iran also took action. It was reported that Iran is preparing to give a military response to Israel.

Israel violated the ceasefire on its first day by launching the most comprehensive air operation in recent times against Lebanon. While the attacks caused significant destruction in Lebanon, hopes for a diplomatic solution were replaced by renewed violent clashes.

IRAN WILL STRIKE ISRAEL TOO

Following Israel's move, a strong retaliatory signal came from Iran. According to Fars News, the Tehran administration has begun preparations to respond militarily to Israel's attacks and has put its military units on the highest alert level.

It remains unclear whether Iran will carry out a direct attack or activate its proxy forces in the region, but this tension seriously fuels the risk of expanding the scope of the war in the area.

ISRAEL: HEZBOLLAH CENTERS WERE STRUCK

On the other hand, a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the largest airstrike across Lebanon since the attacks on Hezbollah began on March 2 had been carried out. It was stated that more than 100 Hezbollah command centers, headquarters, and military facilities were targeted simultaneously within 10 minutes at different locations. The statement included, "A large-scale wave of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah command centers and military facilities in Beirut, Bekaa, and Southern Lebanon has been completed." It was reported that the targeted sites were intelligence command centers and main headquarters used for directing and planning attacks, firepower with missile launch capabilities, and naval forces infrastructure, as well as elite units of Hezbollah, including the Radwan Force and Air Unit elements.

ISRAEL ADMITTED TO HITTING CIVILIAN AREAS

It was noted that the large-scale attack had been meticulously planned for weeks. It was expressed that a significant portion of the targeted locations were areas with civilian populations. Steps were reportedly taken to minimize damage before the attacks.

According to reports based on military sources from Israeli media, 50 fighter jets dropped approximately 160 bombs on 100 targets within 10 minutes during the attack.

HUNDREDS OF CASUALTIES AND INJURIES

Lebanon's Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine stated in a statement that hundreds of people have lost their lives or been injured in the airstrikes conducted by Israel across Lebanon. Georges Kettaneh, Secretary General of the Lebanese Red Cross, described the situation in the country as "catastrophic," noting that many people are trapped under rubble and that buildings have completely collapsed in some areas. Kettaneh also reported that to make more room for the injured, patients were evacuated from hospitals in Beirut to facilities outside the capital.
