After the oil refineries were hit by the US-Israel, Iran did what it said and announced that it would carry out retaliatory attacks in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. Iran conducted drone attacks in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The United States and Israel struck oil refineries in Iran's Bushehr province. Following the attacks, Iran announced that it would retaliate by targeting U.S.-linked oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

IRAN'S DRONE ATTACK ON RIYADH

Iran carried out its first retaliatory attacks. Iran launched a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. While Saudi air defense systems destroyed some of the UAVs in the air, the attacks caused significant movement at military bases and critical energy lines in the region.

SAUDI ARABIA ISSUED A STATEMENT

In a written statement from the Saudi Ministry of Defense on the U.S.-based social media platform X, it was stated that two ballistic missiles launched at the eastern region of the country were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems.

As tensions escalated, Iran announced that strategic refineries in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar were also on its target list. Tehran warned regional countries not to support the U.S. and conveyed the message that the attacks would continue.

These reciprocal moves have jeopardized energy security in the Middle East while also causing great panic in global oil markets.

U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and the Washington administration.

Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the U.S.-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and many high-ranking officials were killed.

According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the U.S.-Israel attacks exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured surpassed 17,000.
