The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that universities connected to these two countries in the region are now considered "legitimate targets" in response to Israel's attacks on universities in Iran. The statement from the Revolutionary Guard Corps included, "If the U.S. government wants its universities in the region to remain unharmed after two retaliatory attacks, it must issue an official statement condemning the bombing of universities by no later than 12:00 PM Tehran time on Monday, March 30."
As the war that began with the attacks of the United States and Israel on Iran enters its second month, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a written statement regarding Israel's attack on Tehran University of Science and Technology.
IRAN DECLARED UNIVERSITIES LINKED TO ISRAEL AND THE US AS 'LEGITIMATE TARGETS' According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, the statement shared with the note "Warning to the guilty officials of the United States:" included the following expressions: "American-Zionist forces have repeatedly bombed Iranian universities, including the University of Science and Technology of Iran. The reckless officials of the White House should know that from now on, all universities of the occupying regime (Israel) and American universities in Western Asia will be considered legitimate targets in retaliation for the destruction of Iranian universities."
Tehran University of Science and Technology SET A DEADLINE, STATED CONDITIONS The statement advised the personnel, students, and those living around American universities in the region to move at least one kilometer away from the universities for their own safety, stating: "If the US government wants its universities in the region to remain unharmed after two retaliatory attacks, it must issue an official statement condemning the bombing of the universities by no later than 12:00 PM Tehran time on Monday, March 30. Furthermore, if it wants its universities to remain unharmed afterwards, it must prevent its wild allied forces from attacking the universities and research centers; otherwise, the threat will remain valid and will be carried out."
In the attacks by the US and Israel, Isfahan University of Technology was targeted on March 6, and the University of Science and Technology in Tehran was targeted the day before.
