As the war in the Middle East enters its second month, the United States and Israel have launched heavy attacks on Iran's critical cities, particularly targeting the energy infrastructure in the capital Tehran. The Iranian Ministry of Energy announced that power outages occurred in many areas of the capital as a result of the targeting of electrical facilities.
It was stated that there were outages in some areas of Tehran due to attacks on electrical facilities.
ISRAEL CLAIMED TO HAVE CARRIED OUT OVER 140 AIR STRIKES ON IRAN IN ONE DAY
The Israeli army claimed that it had conducted more than 140 air strikes in the last 24 hours against Iran, where it launched an attack in conjunction with the USA. The statement mentioned the claim that Israeli fighter jets carried out over 140 air strikes in one day, asserting that ballistic missile launch and storage facilities, as well as air defense infrastructure, were targeted.
ISRAEL ALLEGEDLY TARGETED AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS AND BALLISTIC MISSILE FACILITIES IN TEHRAN
The Israeli army claimed that in its air strikes on Iran's capital Tehran, it targeted air defense systems and ballistic missile production and storage facilities. In a statement from the Israeli army, it was alleged that a facility producing critical components of ballistic missiles affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Defense was hit in the air strikes against Iran. It was reported that there are only two such facilities in Iran where critical components for the assembly and operationalization of ballistic missiles are developed. In the nighttime attacks on Tehran, it was claimed that ballistic missile engine production facilities belonging to the Iranian Ministry of Defense, a weapons production and storage facility, and a drone engine production facility were targeted.
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the USA launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, as well as many high-ranking officials, were killed.
