US President Donald Trump announced that the US will respond to Iran's ballistic missile strikes on US air bases in Jordan, following US attacks last night on Lark Island near the Strait of Hormuz.
Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst reported President Trump's assessments regarding Iran from his interview with Trump.
According to Yingst, Trump said there would be a response to Iran targeting the Muwaffaq Salti and King Hussein air bases used by US forces in Jordan with ballistic missiles. Trump said, "We will hit them hard. We will respond."
AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS INTERVENED
Trump stated that US air defense systems intercepted all but one of Iran's ballistic missiles, and that the missile that was not intercepted was "allowed to pass through the airspace because it would not strike a significant location."
"IRAN IS VERY EAGER FOR A DEAL"
Trump argued that Iran "very much wants to negotiate, but he is not sure they can be trusted regarding a deal." President Trump reiterated his remarks that his sanctions on Iran are "working."
US CONDUCTED ATTACK ON LARK ISLAND
The US military carried out two strikes on Lark Island near the Strait of Hormuz last night. It was reported that at least 2 people, including civilians, were killed and 2 others were injured in the attacks.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had struck the Muwaffaq Salti and King Hussein air bases used by US forces in Jordan with ballistic missiles in response to the attack. The Iranian army also reported that it had targeted US soldiers and helicopters stationed at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with dozens of kamikaze drones.
The Jordanian army announced that 8 missiles that violated the country's airspace were intercepted by air defense systems.
