Footage has emerged showing the moments the capsized ship off the coast of Kyrenia, affiliated with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, set out on its disastrous voyage. The images, recorded as the ship was leaving the port, were captured by a security camera in the area.

New footage has emerged regarding the ship disaster off the coast of Girne, TRNC, which claimed the lives of 8 people and left 20 missing.

The final images of the ship departing from the port before the disaster were captured by a nearby security camera. The footage shows the moment the ship set sail from the port into the sea.
8 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The high-speed passenger ferry named "Filo Jet," operating on the route between Girne Port in the TRNC and Taşucu Port in Mersin, began taking on water from its bow shortly after departing from Girne yesterday afternoon.
The ship capsized while attempting to return to Girne Port.
Of the 267 people on board, including 259 passengers and 8 crew members, 241 were rescued, while 8 people lost their lives.
Search and rescue efforts continue for 18 people.
