Iranian Shahed-type kamikaze drones struck Kuwait International Airport. While Kuwaiti authorities stated that some employees were lightly injured in the attack, security measures in the area have been heightened to the maximum level.

Iran, which announced days in advance that it would strike countries with U.S. bases, targeted Kuwait International Airport with Shahed-type kamikaze drones (UAVs). The Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation reported that some airport workers were lightly injured as a result of the attack.

Authorities stated that the drone hit the airport premises and that emergency security protocols were activated following the incident. It was noted that the condition of the injured was good and that limited damage occurred around the runway and terminal.

THERE ARE INJURIES

In a statement from the Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation, it was expressed that security measures at the airport were increased after the attack and that flight operations were continued in a controlled manner. It was recorded that air defense systems in the region were activated following the incident.

EXPLODES UPON IMPACT

Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze UAVs are among the systems known for their low cost but effective attack capacity, which explode upon impact with the target. The targeting of a civilian airport in the Gulf by these UAVs, which have frequently come to the fore in recent regional conflicts, is evaluated as a new escalation of tension.
