Fenerbahçe High Advisory Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu stated that contrary to claims circulating on social media, the relocation of Fenerbahçe Stadium is not on the agenda and that the authority regarding this matter belongs to the general assembly.
Following claims on social media regarding the relocation of Chobani Stadium from Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex, an official statement was made from the Fenerbahçe front.
CLEAR MESSAGE FROM ŞEKİP MOSTUROĞLU
Şekip Mosturoğlu, the President of the Fenerbahçe Club's High Advisory Board, stated during his speech at the High Advisory Board Meeting held at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities that the relocation of the stadium is not on the agenda. Mosturoğlu said, "It is not possible to relocate Fenerbahçe Stadium. As long as Fenerbahçe Club exists, this stadium will belong to the club."
"THIS STADIUM WAS BUILT WITH THE EFFORT OF THE COMMUNITY"
Şekip Mosturoğlu also touched upon the construction process of the stadium, stating, "The results of our community's hard work and contributions are present in the construction of this stadium. We did not receive a stadium from the state. We gave the state our own stadium and built it ourselves. This authority belongs to the general assembly as per the regulations. As long as the general assembly does not permit, this stadium will forever be ours."
EXPLANATION ON REGULATION CHANGE
Mosturoğlu also clarified the claims regarding regulation changes. He noted that the work initiated during the term of Fethi Pekin is being continued by Ali Gürbüz, stating, "There is no such situation on our agenda. The authority to decide on any changes to the regulations belongs to the general assembly. The board of directors does not have such authority."
